WHY INSIST ON THE “SURROUND AIR™” DIFFERENCE?
For years, SRC has been the leader in offering “upgraded” refrigeration systems. The heart of our “Surround Air™” floral systems are the oversized slab coils located inside the cabinethousing. Is size important? You bet it is! Competitors like to say they are just like SRC — their pictures may even appear similar. They use fan speed “CFM” (Cubic Feet per Minute) to justify how they are equal. This is simply a measure of the air speed as it enters the coil chamber. The more important feature for longevity in fresh flowers is the velocity of the air as it exits the face of the coil. This is the air you can feel with your hand (known as “facevelocity”) and is measured in “FPM”( Feet per Minute). Surround Air™ coils have up to 62% lower “face velocity” than competition. This significant benefit allows the highest humidity levels in the floral industry. You’ll see why we are proud to say, “We make the best".
WHAT CAN THIS MEAN FOR YOUR OPERATION?
Nobody likes their arrangements “blowing in the wind”! Not only does it take away from the drama of the display, it will also dry out your fragile product. In addition, these smaller high velocity coils are uncomfortable to work around, because of the sound level and excessive air movement. Surround Air™ systems are the best because they create a total relationship between our cabinet, the refrigeration system and your flowers. Each system component has been specially chosen to provide the optimum balance for each of our Designer Series II, II+, III and IV models. We take into consideration proper air flow, equipment cycle rates and both the temperature and humidity levels achieved. Improve customer service and profits with Surround Air refrigeration systems. You will see, feel and hear the difference with Surround Air™ coils.

SUMMARY...
Even though initial costs for an outdoor compressor will be higher, the energy savings can be substantial over time. We recommend using outdoor packages whenever the noise and the added heat may be of concern to your workers and customers. Consideration must also be given if you are allowed to put the unit outdoors. Building, landlord and/or city restrictions may prevent the unit from being located on the ground or rooftop.
